Altlab, Vitebsko g. 23, SODAS 2123
Go up 2 floors and then first door on your right. Can’t wait!

During the workshop, we will weave wreaths from evergreen branches. For decoration, we will use what can be currently found in the forest or garden: pine cones, berries, nuts, dried plants, moss and other natural raw materials.
We will learn to weave traditionally by securing with rope, without glue usage.
A wreath is a common decoration for the approaching winter holidays, which symbolizes the connection between human and nature, the rotation of time. It is believed that during the dark season, evergreen branches have magical powers, protecting the house until the solstice.

The workshop will be led by Indrė Kuršvietytė, who graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts with a bachelor’s degree in costume design. While researching the topic that interests her – the relationship between human and environment, she has been working in social work for the last few years.
The aim of the educational sessions is to observe the state and need for community, building relationships and socialization.

Workshop fee: 5 euros. But if you’re skinned please still come.
